
Italia Zuccheri is the 100% italian sugar produced by COPROB, an agricultural Cooperative founded in 1962 specialized in the trasformation and production of beet. Italia Zuccheri manages, certifies and tracks the all supply chain, from the field to the customer, to increase awareness and food safety. Italia Zuccheri offers to its 7,000 farms several services such as consulting services, agronomic training and it coordinates the transport of beets from the fields to the two sugar factories in Minerbio (BO) and Pontelongo (PD).
The company aims to promote sustainable agricultural practices and to improve its environmental impact for the benefit of the national agri-food system as a whole. In order to answer to the needs of its members, Italia Zuccheri is developing a regulation of the European sector, in favor of northern beet growing.
The company supplies 23% of the national market of which 80% is used for the food and beverage industry and the rest for artisans, pastry chefs, ice cream makers, and large-scale retail trade.
